Eric Church

First ever Australian headline shows · March 2027 · with Parker McCollum

Nearly twenty years on the CMC Rocks wishlist and the country superstar is finally coming, headlining the festival's 20th anniversary plus two arena shows. Here's the kicker: he plays Rod Laver Arena on Saturday and doesn't hit Sydney until Tuesday. Two free days on the road, and the Hume runs right past us.

Canberra on the bill

At least one Canberra local will be seeing Eric play. Hometown hero Jack Biilmann is on the CMC Rocks QLD 2027 lineup, sharing the bill with Church, Brooks & Dunn and Ashley McBryde at Willowbank from 19 to 21 March. Don't wait for Queensland to catch him: Jack's next Canberra show is Saturday 17 October at The Polo. Canberra's got talent worth seeing, and the proof is on the same bill as one of the biggest names in country.

We're keeping a running tally of every tour that skips the capital. If any of these acts add a Canberra date, you'll hear it here first.

Coming to Canberra

Things Of Stone And Wood

The Final Forest tour · Belconnen Arts Centre · Sat 14 Nov

The Happy Birthday Helen crew are touring their new album The Final Forest, this time as a full band with a piano trio and a 70s studio sound. Canberra sits right in the middle of the run, between Brisbane and Avoca Beach.

On this week

G Flip

Bed On Fire tour · UC Refectory, Bruce · Thu 1 Oct · with Lucky

G Flip's first ever Canberra headline show. All ages, doors 7pm, and under 18s need to be with an adult, so check the rules before you go. If you've seen G Flip behind a drum kit, you know why this one's worth getting to.

Laneway 2027 lineup drops Wednesday

Stencils reading "September 30th" have been popping up on Enmore Road and in Fortitude Valley, so expect the reveal tomorrow. Adelaide and Perth are off the 2027 run, which makes Centennial Park the closest one to Canberra. Leaked posters doing the rounds online suggest a few big names, but nothing's confirmed. We'll have the full lineup once it's official.

  1. Fri 12 FebSydney
  2. Sat 13 FebBrisbane
  3. Fri 19 FebMelbourne
  4. Sun 21 FebAuckland

Two free days between Melbourne and Sydney, and Canberra sitting on the highway in between.
